Join us for our monthly secret screen takeover at The Chabot Cinema as we feature films that showcase the magic of music and art. This month we are showing the classic mockumentary - This is Spinal Tap.

"This Is Spinal Tap" is a timeless cult classic that follows the British heavy metal band Spinal Tap. This "documentary" tracks singer David St. Hubbins (Michael McKean), guitarist Nigel Tufnel (Christopher Guest), and bassist Derek Smalls (Harry Shearer) on a U.S. tour as they tumble through absurd misadventures, rock & roll excess, and the occasional exploding drummer. Filmmaker Marty Di Bergi (Rob Reiner) captures the band's oblivious incompetence and ludicrous situations, cleverly satirizing the music industry's excesses.
