Local Agriculture and Neighborhood Economies, Can We Do It? How?

A Call to Localized Agriculture and A Strong Neighborhood Economy

The hope of this gathering is to collectively ignite a common vision around the narrative of neighborhoods converging in order to grow food, protect seeds, nurture the soil, foster a healthy local economy, build community, and educate the coming generations on how to properly and ethically cultivate the second most important resource on our plant.

This discussion group will bring together those who are passionate and/or experienced in agriculture, water and food security, local economics, or city planning, so that we may ask the question, "Can East Bay communites become agriculturally abundant?" If so, "What must we do in order to build a more sustainable, community driven, and justice oriented local agricultural economy within the Eden Area and larger East Bay?"
