You're invited to "Memoirs", our first evening centered around the stories of people within our community. 

Thursday night (5/25), Hiroshi Shmizu:

Hiroshi Shimizu is a sansei (third generation) Japanese American. He was born at the Topaz Relocation Center in Utah and later him and his family were incarcerated in Tule Lake, Ca and Crystal City, Tx. He is currently involved in the Tule Lake Committee, which organized bi-annual pilgrimages to the site of the Tule Lake Relocation Center, and the Japanese American Citizen's League. He is married to Susanna and is the father of Chizu Buckalew.

Come hear Hiroshi's story, enjoy some Japanese cuisine, and engage with your beautiful community!
