PAMPAS PRESENTS: SMALLTOWN SOCIETY ART SESSIONS
Join Smalltown and Pampas Cafe in the lot at Pampas Cafe this Saturday, April 28, from 10am- 1pm, for the third in our series showcasing local artists from our community.
Influenced by the folk, rock, and country sounds of Ryan Adams, Jakob Dylan, and Johnny Cash, Wilson Wong has been honing his craft at open mics since 2007. Wilson has performed with Kearny Street Workshop at previous APAtures (2008 & 2009), RAMA, and Hyphen Magazine. He was the Bazaar Cafe August 2013 Songwriter in Residence. His backing group are the very talented Carlos Cajilig (Lead Guitar), Steve Witt (Bass/Mandolin), and Stephen Michael (Drums) a.k.a. "The Dudes". Their "Other Side of Twenty" EP was released on November 2014 and is out on iTunes and digital downloads.
This collaborative project came about as a way to give artists in our community a space to express their art and connect with local residents. With spring in the air, we also want to give our community a reason to walk our streets and interact with their neighbors.
Come join the song!!
