Smalltown Society's monthly gathering for songwriters, poets, and artists. The LAB is a space to share, collaborate, and connect with fellow creatives in the community. Each event begins with a performance and interview featuring a special guest artist, Francis Turkey Bacon.

Francis Turkey Bacon unites established musicians from fan-favorite Bay Area bands to forge a high-energy blend of indie-folk-rock, drawing inspiration from bands like Wilco and Dr. Dog. Their sound features a tight rhythm section, soaring keys, and lyrics that are thoughtful, relatable, often humorous, creating a truly captivating experience.

Afterward, participants can take the stage in an open-mic format to share new or in-progress pieces with our artist community.
