Smalltown Society doesn’t run without people.

It runs because people choose to invest their time, bring their strengths, and offer both their voices and their hands to the work. What we’re building isn’t a service or a program — it’s a movement shaped by the community itself.

Smalltown Society exists with the community, and because of it. Volunteering isn’t helping from the sidelines — it’s stepping inside the vision and helping carry it forward.

Why Volunteer?:

1. Volunteers make the work possible.
   Many of the moments, gatherings, and opportunities we create only happen because people show up and lend their time. Without volunteers, very little of this work could exist.

2. You become part of something you can see and feel.
   Volunteering offers a tangible way to contribute to a creative ecosystem that values care, collaboration, and long-term impact.

3. You get closer to the artists and the process.
   Volunteers are often behind the scenes, in the room, and part of the energy that makes events and projects come alive.

4. Your time is valued — and reciprocated.
   Volunteers who contribute more than 5 hours a month receive a free starter membership as a small way of saying thank you.

5. You help shape what comes next.
   This organization is still growing. Volunteers don’t just support the work — they influence its direction, culture, and future.
